fawn. A fawn is a young deer, but it's also a verb meaning to try and win favor by flattering. You might fawn over Bambi if you want to hang out with the cute and fuzzy gang. As a verb, fawn either refers to an attempt to get on someone's good side, or, oddly enough, to give birth to a deer.

a large celebration or party, typically a lavish and boisterous one.
the film industry's annual jamboree in Cannes
In Scouting, a jamboree is a large gathering of Scouts who rally at a national or international level.
The 1st World Scout Jamboree was held in 1920, and was hosted by the United Kingdom. Since then, there have been twenty three World Scout Jamborees, hosted in various countries, generally every four years. The 24th World Jamboree is to be held in North America in 2019.
There are also national and continental jamborees held around the world with varying frequency. Many of these events will invite and attract Scouts from overseas.

[hide]Etymology[edit]
According to the Canadian Oxford Dictionary, the etymology is "19th century, origin unknown". The Oxford English Dictionary (OED)identifies it as coming from American slang, identifying a use in the New York Herald in 1868 and in Irish writings later in the 19th century.[1] Robert Graves in The Crowning Privilege: The Clark Lectures, 1954–1955 suggests Baden-Powell might have known the word through his regiment's Irish links rather than from the US slang. Poet Robert W. Service used the term well before the first Scouting jamboree. It appears in the poem "Athabaska Dick" in his Rhymes of a Rolling Stone, which was published in 1912. At the time, the word meant a rowdy, boisterous gathering.
Baden-Powell was once asked why he chose "jamboree". He replied, "What else would you call it?" His response made sense if the word had already meant a boisterous gathering. Even so, it is popularly believed within the Scout Movement that the word was coined by Baden-Powell.

A psychedelic drug or classical hallucinogen is a substance whose primary action is to alter cognition and perception, typically as a serotonin receptor agonist,[2] causing thought and visual/auditory changes, and heightened state of consciousness.[3] Major psychedelic drugs include LSD, mescaline (peyote's active ingredient), DMT and hallucinogenic mushrooms.
Origin of term[edit]
The term psychedelic is derived from the Greek words ψυχή (psyche, "soul, mind") and δηλείν (delein, "to manifest"), hence "soul-manifesting", the implication being that psychedelics can access the soul and develop unused potentials of the human mind.[6] The word was coined in 1956 by British psychiatrist, Humphry Osmond, the spelling loathed by American ethnobotanist, Richard Schultes, but championed by the American psychologist, Timothy Leary.[7]
Aldous Huxley had suggested to Humphry Osmond in 1956 his own coinage phanerothyme (Greek "phaneroein-" visible + Greek "thymos" soul, thus "visible soul").[8] Recently, the term entheogenic has come into use to denote the use of psychedelic drugs in a religious/spiritual/mystical context.

Mar 30, 2017 - Here's another option: the Eufy RoboVac 11 is the best-selling robot vacuum on Amazon, and it costs a fraction of what you'll pay for a Roomba.
The vacuum cleaner evolved from the carpet sweeper via manual vacuum cleaners. The first manual models, using bellows, were developed in the 1860s, and the first motorized designs appeared at the turn of the 20th century, with the first decade being the boom decade.

Pyrex (trademarked as PYREX) is a brand introduced by Corning Inc. in 1908 for a line of clear, low-thermal-expansion borosilicate glass used for laboratory glassware and kitchenware. Pyrex sold in the United States is made of tempered soda-lime glass; outside of North America the costlier borosilicate is still used.
Corning no longer manufactures or markets Pyrex-branded borosilicate glass kitchenware and bakeware in the US. World Kitchen, LLC, which was spun off from Corning in 1998, licensed the pyrex (all lower case) brand for their own line of kitchenware products—differentiated by their use of clear tempered soda-lime glass instead of borosilicate.
