“googling”

Although many of us had already been “googling” things for years, it wasn’t until 2006 that Merriam-Webster officially defined the term as a transitive verb meaning "to use the Google search engine to obtain information about (someone or something) on the World Wide Web." While the word "Google" retains capitalization when used as the trademark for a search engine, the verb google is lowercase.
