近日,香港反送中運動引起全球各地的關注,特別是同樣面對東亞崛起霸權,與香港命運有共感的台灣民眾,更與香港的抗爭產生強烈共鳴。無論是非民主政府對民意的怠慢、公權力加諸於人民的暴力或聯合黑社會對付手無寸鐵的市民,一幕幕皆怵目驚心,也時時刻刻提醒我們自由民主得來不易。

讓我們回到海峽的彼岸,這片土地上的記憶。台灣的歷史同樣刻滿威權的印記,經歷二二八事件後沒過多久,白色恐怖的威脅襲來,持續數十年的威權戒嚴統治,是台灣好幾代人的悲哀。那是一個失語的年代,無數異議、甚至無辜的人們被奪去生命,更多的人失去了說話、寫字、行動的自由。空下來的共同記憶,由政府意欲人民看到、聽到的社會風貌填滿。這些被抹去的失落的異議的文字和聲音,成為了那的時代的噪音,白色恐怖的壓制,讓一整個時代的異見消失。

生於自由民主時代的我們,要當小國小民,也要當好國好民。每個四散零碎的噪音片段,都有一段完整的故事,都是前輩們辛苦奮鬥的痕跡。惟有重拾、拼湊、找回這些噪音,記住而警醒,才能讓「自由民主得來不易」這句話,從抽象的概念,成為真實深刻的體認。《白噪音》融入了多起威權時期的政治迫害案件,林頎姍導演希望透過劇場呈現,帶給觀眾與觀看紀錄片、閱讀文字不同的感受。

《白噪音》開啟了找回失落記憶的另外一個取徑,在獨立與外隔絕的空間中,帶領觀眾倒轉回威權時代肅殺的時代氛圍,透過氛圍營造傳達抽象的情感,讓觀眾感受政治受難者的抑鬱憤懣,與其家屬的慌亂無助,並連結當代台灣對未來的迷茫困惑。

《白噪音》承載了過去,成為今昔的交會點,現在與過去似遠若近,光影交錯,也讓我們重新反思、建構對威權時期的理解與想像。推薦大家於8/2-8/4走進雅頌坊觀賞《白噪音》,挖掘、詮釋屬於自己的真相。

White Noise is the eighth novel by Don DeLillo, published by Viking Press in 1985. It won the U.S. National Book Award for Fiction.[1]
White Noise is an example of postmodern literature. It is widely considered DeLillo's "breakout" work and brought him to the attention of a much larger audience. Time included the novel in its list of "Best English-language Novels from 1923 to 2005".[2] DeLillo originally wanted to call the book Panasonic, but the Panasonic Corporation objected.[3]

The Panasonic brand was created by Matsushita in 1955 for the Americas region because the National brand, which was its principal brand in its home market of Japan, was already registered by others.[1] The Panasonic brand was created from the elements "pan" - meaning "all" - and "sonic" - meaning "sound" - because it was first used for audio equipment.[1] Panasonic also sold the first bread machine.[2]
On January 10, 2008, Matsushita announced that it intended to change the company name to Panasonic Corporation.[3][4] The proposal to change the company's name was approved at the firm's annual shareholder's meeting on June 26 and the name took effect from October 1, 2008. In parallel the "National" brand, which had been used by the company in Japan for non-audio/visual products (mostly home appliances), was phased out and replaced with the Panasonic brand by March 2010.[4]
